James Johnson

Dating/Romance

Ventura, California, 93001

I was contacted through a religious dating site. He was a wealthy business man dealing in diamonds and gold. The emails were elaborate; I was told over and over He would never let me down. Eventually he asked for money $2600 which was to be paid back when he returned to the States. Then he disappeared.

His description was 6'2" 53 years old, brown hair. He sent pictures with a "daughter" his home. Even had a website ---James Johnson PS{Precious Stones) with address
1784 E. Thompson Blvd., Ventura, CA 93001. That address is a Animal Hospital.

Unfortunately these scams are not new and have been around for years. They are called "sweetheart scams" (Google it for more guys). MOST of these guys are from Nigeria, but say they are from the US doing business overseas. They fall instantly in love with you and then start asking for money. They usually say they are widowers and have a kid. And yes, they troll the dating sites and pay for memberships. Best to only date/meet local people and don't buy into the stories that they are overseas on business.
