Methods Of Advertisement

It is common practice for old school bloggers and vloggers to often place sponsorship banners and/or other advertisements on their content in order to garner other forms of income through affiliate marketing.
Do you, as viewers, agree with these practices?
If you do agree, is this a method you, too, use or would use?
If not, how do you feel about banner ads and other advertisements showing up on the content and sometimes having to be cancelled out manually by viewers in order to be able to fully view the content?
Affiliate marketing is not new, although methods do change throughout the years to update newer modes of advertisement.
And technology updates are always in place.
