Beware of Bryan Hawkins Kenpo Karate (Schools).
Very disturbing facts to consider:
Bryan Hawkins manipulation skills are so polished that he's managed to run his schools at almost no cost other than utility & lease.
His teachers are all volunteers that he's convinced to work for free.
His legions of blindly loyal followers include dojo members such as volunteers who not only continue to pay him their money for lessons, but who also have been convinced that "being of service" entails spending long hours, grueling days & nights, vast amounts of gas money to travel back & forth between his schools to teach his other paying students.

One must question the intelligence of these members (Volunteers).
Do they not stop to think why they're working for him for free & in some cases even paying to work for him?
Perhaps if they turned him down, they might slowly be shunned.

However, even if shunned, it could not be as bad as being a spineless follower & flock of misled members who expend their own money & resources just to serve someone that they have no material evidence is a "good" person.
Rhetorically speaking, how can one be a "good" person if he is abusing the trust of his members?

As for finances, tuition with Bryan Hawkins is unreasonable.
His prices are higher than other dojos.
Meanwhile, his closure days are also the highest number of days than any other martial arts school & even the other Kenpo Karate schools that dutifully remain open for lessons at least 6 days weekly & some Sundays.

Mr. Hawkins might claim his schools sometimes close during previously scheduled classes "because of the sleep-away camps" that he schedules.
This is not true.
Afterall, Bryan Hawkins has many manipulated volunteers who are at his beck & call to take over & teach those classes, thus there is no justification for closure days.
The real reason for closure days is if he absolutely cannot secure a volunteer for that day.
While Bryan Hawkins arbitrarily closes his school on normal business hours & scheduled class days, he still makes sure that his automated system collects recurring fees & other money from students & families during those closure days, because his students & the parents are dissuaded from speaking up for fear of seeming out of line.

At Bryan Hawkins Kenpo Karate, no one speaks up. They fear sticking out from the flock of blind followers.

Bryan Hawkins demands blind loyalty, even while fleecing pockets of student, families, volunteers.
These are unspoken rules.

His volunteer teachers do not get paid a dime.
He alleges that volunteerism "builds community."
While there are some families & students who might say Bryan Hawkins is a "good old guy" & won't complain, there are ten times more families, children, former students & even former volunteers who have drastically different accounts of his arbitrary abuse against them, who have not spoken out.

Bryan Hawkins is the same dojo owner who expends no money on the cleanliness of his dojos.
There might be a once-per-month, very slight, insignificant swipe here & there, but his schools & dojos remain overridden with fungus, bacteria & filth.
The surplus of unhealthy filth, lack of cleanliness, health code violations are all designed to save more money for him (At cost of those attending & volunteering at his schools) while causing unknown amounts of allergens, harm to lungs, skin, and other issues.
Not all problems manifest immediately. However, later when members and volunteers start having problems and/or experience exasperation of their pre-existing conditions, they can rest assured that these issues are caused by the unfathomable amount of dirt, fungus, filth at his two remaining dojos.

As for those reviews, they are currently posted by Ed Reilly, Glen Beattie, Thomas Martinez & the others that he's implored to post those phony reviews.
These individuals all are among his highly manipulated sheep. That should tell you what you need to know about the authenticity of those so-called "glowing" reviews.

Hawkins may post a phony rebuttal to claim:
.He has "no record" of me as a student
.He has no idea who I am
.Or perhaps some other lie to throw off the public from believing the truth.
Alternatively, he may post no rebuttal.
In any case, absolutely nothing will change the firsthand knowledge & facts that have been outlined in this very real, factual Report.

There are many other martial arts schools & other karate disciplines in Southern California.
There are even other separate Kenpo schools, taught by completely separate dojo owners.
Yet none of these other schools use any manipulation, coercion, mind games, extortion like Bryan Hawkins uses on his friends, members, students to extract free labor & even other free services.
Every one of the other schools pay their instructors & staff.
On the other hand, Bryan Hawkins has zero staff or employees.
Instead, he has a legion of blind, mindless, carefully manipulated "volunteers" and, most disturbingly, including children, to instruct his other paying students.

To be clear, coercive tactics that Bryan Hawkins uses to extract endless amounts of free labor is not "helping each other."

His tactics are to use both adults & little children, teenagers (Teens who must use their non-student hours to do homework, prepare for pre-college exams, term papers, socializing & more important things) to pick up the slack & teach entire hour-long classes, often back-to-back classes for as long as two hours in a row without breaks in between.
Among countless examples: I spoke with mother of Piper, a happy but also very stressed out 16-year-old female.
Piper is highly skilled in martial arts.
However, Piper, like the many other members of Bryan Hawkins Kenpo, also has school homework, mid-term papers, and many other far more important concerns in order to prepare for.
However, Bryan Hawkins told her & her mother that, if Piper "really wants that black belt," she'll must come in extra hours (Additional hours plus going into the dojo for her own lessons) and teach other classes on her own time.
Because Piper does want that black belt that, up until now she has worked so hard for, she's forced to go in on additional days & hours, while setting aside her mid-term papers, studying for final exams, etc., to prioritize working free for Bryan Hawkins.
And these facts are causing her extreme stress.
However, Piper, like the many other kids of minor age, is terrified to speak up.
As well, her very friendly, outgoing mother cannot speak up, as she too, has been manipulated to think this is a "privilege" rather than the mind-control & manipulation tactics of Bryan Hawkins.

Bryan Hawkins has people so brainwashed, that they cannot see through the veil of phoniness and maliciousness.
