Posing as Paypal

Craigs List Purchase

Chicago, Illinois, 60618

It's team effort.

First : A person offers to buy your item from Craigs list offering to pay with PayPal and stating that they will even include the overnight shipping money because they really want the item. They even ask you inquiry questions like "why are you selling it etc... then they asks if you can ship overnight to an address (This time it was to Chicago).

Second: You receive an email "CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE NEW MONEY IN YOUR ACCOUNT!" (this is fake using PayPal Logos and even their method, format and design) coming from ("Service@PayPal.com" ) showing a verified address of the buyer and the amount the buyer has put into your account.

Third: You get an email, fund hold until ship, from ("Service@PayPal.com" ) stating that once you send them the tracking number of the overnight shipping they will release the funds in your paypal account. This is to delay you until they get the item overnight then they're gone with your item before you realize it's a scam. If it takes a few days for them to get the item they will send a few more emails delaying access to the money in your account using various number of reasons that sound ligitimate.

At one time they tried to say they mistakingly deposited $300 additional dollars into my account and if I could refund that amount to them.
