Vista Home Security 2011

Rogue Antispyware

The scam pops up like a seemingly legitimate antivirus product from Vista and it looks like

The site will have you enter credit card information to get a key that you will then enter into the program to have it clean your system. It then seems to do so but actually hides in your computer and continues to F-it up.

The charge on your credit card will show up as BOGEMASECURITY.COM ... interestingly enough there's an actual site, and even more if you look up bogemasecurity.com it lists who the domain is registered to, a Joseph Whiting apparently. I'm not sure if this is the bastard responsible for it, but the website itself seems pretty bogus, so let's hope it's him and eventually someone does something about him.

Registrant:
Joseph Whiting +1.6052240161
