Helderberg Exotic Cats

Animal Neglect

Berne, New York

It was my bad for impulse buying at a cat show without researching Helderberg Exotic Sick Cats. Highlights direct from the State Inspection Health Reports over the years would have been enough: a suspended an inspection so an injured cat could be brought immediately for treatment/pedigree and consumer rights violations/sick cats not given any isolation area whatsoever/unsatisfactory inspection/deficiencies in the very very very bare minimum housing required for cats/expired operating license/facility run down and needs paint/multiple consumer rights violated again/pedigree violations again/needed to conduct a special inspection because of complaint/caught red handed housing mother and her kittens in the new sick/isolation contagious area and made to move them out ‘immediately’/total of 25 cats not legally vaccinated/no vet records on premises/owner openly admitted to never vetting the sick cats/even more pedigree violations again/operating illegally with out a license/they counted 85 cats- 85 cats???/one report said “many complaints throughout year”/more consumer rights violations/violation in how they were caring for their sick/injured cats/medically treating sick cats sold to customers/said animals were crying in a shed?/violations in record keeping of animals/ found 10 more cats never brought to vet for treatment/unsanitary kennels exuded a horrible urine smell/pet dealer caught altering their own medical records/not only that they issued fraudulent health records to consumer/caught breeding a Siamese with chronic skin condition – no medical treatment was given to her for sores all over her belly while she was forced to nurse kittens/complaints filed with the attorney general/someone suing in small claims court/unlicensed people medically treating animals again/several more detailed consumer complaints sent to the inspectors so far to include an extremely graphic complaint of abuse /The owners can make up all the good reviews they want about themselves and try tricking people into believing they are reputable, but the public records don’t lie.

I THE OWNER OF THIS CATTERY WOULD LIKE TO SHED SOME LITE ON THIS SUBJECT. WE ARE NEW YORK STATE INSPECTED AND REGULATED... WHEN NYS COMES AND INSPECTS 99.5 PER CENT OF THE TIME THEY FIND SOMETHING WRONG. THEY GIVE YOU A FEW WEEKS TO CLEAR THEM UP, AND THEY PUT FOR PUBLIC RECORD WHAT HAPPENED, BUT PEOPLE NEVER SEE THAT EVERYTHING WAS TAKEN CARE OF AND THEY GET A CLEAN BILL OF INSPECTION...MY LISENCE WAS NEVER TAKEN AWAY.. ITS NOT A PERFECT WORLD AND PEOPLE GET SICK AND DIE AND SO DO SOME ANIMALS. WE DO OUR VERY BEST FOR OUR ANIMALS THEY ARE LIKE OUR CHILDREN. THEY ALL GET ALL THERE SHOTS EXCEPT RABIES WHICH A VET GIVES. AND ON THIS SUBJECT YOU CAN,T GIVE RABIES SHOTS TO PREGNANT CATS OR NURSING CATS. WE HAVE A STATE OF THE ART CATTERY AND ANYONE IS WELCOME TO VISIT. WE DON,T TRICK ANYONE , AND WE CAN GIVE YOU HUNDRES OF SATISIFIED CUSTOMERS NAMES FOR REFERENCES. IF A CUSTOMER HAS A PROBLEM THEY NEED TO CALL US SO WE CAN HELP, NOT SLANDER , DEFAME HARRISS US.
I a costumer of Helderberghs exotic cats purchased a cat from Mike. We first visited the Cattery looked over the kennel and the cats. What I saw was Mikes deep admiration, respect and love for his cats. The Cattery was spotless with very little hint of cat. There was ample space for the cats to roam both indoor and out. I was very impressed with the fact that the indoor part of the kennel had heated floors. More than anything I was impressed that when Mike came around the cats they flocked to him and talked to him. This assured me that they loved him and knew who took care of him!!!! When we returned to get the kitten we chose the Cattery was exactly the same way as we visited it the last time. SPOTLESS CLEAN! I guess the person who wrote the review above never visited Mikes business site. My little kitten is healthy as can be and very active.
