He romanced me for a month, supposed to have a job in Africa building roads as a Civil Engineer. This week he told me he needed a laptop and two blackberry phones. I needed to buy them and send to him for his work and he would reimburse me when he got home. Suppose to fly into AZ to meet me from AFrica in 6 weeks. He sent flowers, candy and jewelery. I said no then he asked me to open a joint bank account with him so he could send me 400 thousand dollars for his work account and I could buy what he needed. He could wire the money he said. I told him to not contact me again and no.

Good Job!!!
I wish I was as wise when I was being scammed online. It cost me a lot of money and a severe broken heart when I finally came to my senses.

Sorry you were taken by a scammer! I hate that. This man is smooth and says all the perfect things, but my mind told me not to trust him, thank God. He said he lost his parents when he was 9 in Finland where he was born and had lost his uncle last year. He wrote me everyday, several times a day, chatted on yahoo, and called me some. He really put in weeks of wooing me, then hit with the financial scam. Too bad James, it didn't work.
