Suyaki Siamese Cattery Filthy Has Calici Virus

Miami, Florida, 33176

Suyaki Siamese Charlene Ugent Posted: 2011-02-24 by B Tuck
I got a cat infected with Calici virus Complaint Rating: Company information: Suyaki Siamese Charlene Ugent Miami, Florida United States suyaki-siamese.com I got a cat from Charlene Ugent of Suyaki Siamese. I got a clean health certificate, but when I got home my cat was still sick . I took him to my vet, and he tested positive for calici virus. The breeders house was filthy and smelled strongly of urine, the walls and drapes were stained. It was disgusting, but I still took the cat home. I felt I was rescuing him. He was beautiful and very sweet. I sent the breeder an email expressing my disappointment with how sick he was. She threatened to harass my family members and said she googled my father and was going to call him. I'm 40, she was going to call my parents. WOW. I found Charlene to be a sick person in my opinion who lived in filth like an animal. I just hope my other cats don't get sick and the kitten gets well. It has been an upsetting experience for me to say the least. B T

As a proud owner of two wonderful Siamese cats from Charlene Ugent's cattery, I must
question the motives of the individual who has launced this complaint. Why would anyone
agree to take home a kitten which the complainant describes as "still sick". Further,
it appears that the original veterinarian issued a certificate of clean health to the kitten
described as "beautiful" and "sweet" by its owner.
Just for the record, I want to describe the reason we chose this particular cattery.
Charlene Ugent prides herself on giving the kittens she offers for sale a lot of human interaction. from birth; as a result, she is very successful in offering highly socialized kittens who respond immediately to their new owners. My husband flew to Miami for our kittens, visited the cattery, and left satisfied. They were both sold with a health certificate and a health guarantee. We have owned these cats for many years now and have both been in excellent health. Perhaps we should be more tolerent of the demands imposed on the breeder; it must be incredibly demanding work made all the more difficult when complaints of this nature surface on the internet. I truly question the motives of the individual who launched this
diatribe. Lenore

My wife and I are both attorneys. After doing our absolute due diligence, we adopted our Saki from Charlene almost five years ago. From the moment we met Charlene at her home, we knew we were adopting a well cared for kitten from a person with a passion for her four legged childen. The house described above is not the house we were in. We were presented with our kittens on a beautiful Florida room on a half acre of land out back, where she has her Cattery Awards displayed and Certificate of Excellence. From the moment we
picked out Saki, our prince, we knew we had royalty on our hands. He has a wonderful personality. He is strong willed yet is so very friendly. He loves to snuggle with my wife which lets me off the hook on occasion. In our house, we have a Westie, a Tea Cup Yorkie, a Siamese I adopted from the ASPCA in Manhattan 10 years ago, a Persian, and an African
Grey Parrot. Saki gets along famously with everyone. He has been healthy since day one and oddly enough, very muscular. I think it comes back to Charlene's superior breeding. In sum, I would highly recommned Charlene and Suyaki Siamese Cattery to anyone who want to share the same kind of joy we have.
I received a kitten in May from Suyaki. The kitten is healthy, beautiful and has a great personality. Charlene always responds to my emails and gives me good advise on kitty care and needs. I am quite surprised to hear "anonymous'" complaimts. If these complaints are valid why wouldn't the complainer be willing to own up to their complaint?
I recieved a kitten in November 2006 from Charlene and he was in perfect health, a beautiful, loving kitty. He has grown into a handsome, loving siamese cat. I would not hesitate to purchase another cat from her in the future! I could not be happier with the whole process.
I did NOT get scammed. My experience with Charlene was wonderful. My cat was in perfect health when I got him. I will continue to buy from Charlene.
