Text Ad Exchange Sale and hosting

On 7/15th My partner and I purchased a Text Ad Exchange Business, that was fully equipped and operational from Mr. Gene Baker, from his website, http://8814hosting.com. We contacted Mr. Baker to discuss the purchase of this website, at that time he informed us, that the cost of the website was $45.00 for the website. We expressed our interest, the following day, and contacted him to find out, how he would except payment, because there was no Alertpay icon on the website, and that is how we intended to pay, he in turn told us he does except Alertpay and gave me his Alertpay address to forward the payment too, which was bizman59@gmail.com. Once he received the payment, he forward the backoffice information and mentioned, that he was also, able to host the website, if that is what we chose to do. My intentions were to ONLY purchase the website from Mr. Baker and obtain hosting, with another provider. Before making the decision to do so, my partner talked with Mr Baker, on the phone, the conversation was a bit upsetting, as Mr. Baker, felt the need to have access to the password to the back office, and the control panel. My partner explained to Mr. Baker at that time, that she did not think, I would be in agreement with him having access to our backoffice, and told him she would get back in touch or I would to discuss what was mentioned. I emailed Mr. Baker not long after talkiing to my partner, and telling her, I was not agreeing to that, because we were going to be the owners, and private information is added into these sites, and felt there was no need for Mr. Baker to have access any longer. He also, felt, he had a right, to put his advertising all over the site, as he pleased, and that was something, I felt was totally wrong, being that it no longer belonged to him. When we got the website turned over to us it in turn was up and fully operational and equipped. My partner and I were in the backoffice changing things around, and in turn doing the things we needed to do, to get ready to run a business. Throughout the time, we were in there, Mr. Baker felt the need to go in the back office without our permission, so we in turn changed the password. I asked him to no longer go into the site, without informing us he had intentions of doing so, and then felt, after mentioning he wanted control and also,. telling my partner, that if we didn't give him access, he could in turn go into the control panel and get it, without our consent, I knew we had a problem , and I told my partner, we were not going to use him for hosting, and seek hosting for the site elsewhere. This is all one day of just buying the site. I contacted Mr. Baker explaining, that were going to be using another person to host the website we just purchased from him and from that moment on, he started doing manipulative things, that were causing errors, and it was one issue after another. He was telling us, he didn't know what was going on, and he would need to contact his webmaster or someone that was helping him and he would get back to us. Well things were continously, getting worse as the day went on, and the last straw was when he shut the hosting down completely on the site./ When my partner approached him about it, he said I gave you a day, to get your hosting changed over and accused us of expecting FREE hosting, and said we were trying to rip him off. My partner was so upset over this, and said we just purchased the site today from you, how are we suppose to get everything changed over in a day, and we are new to TextAd Exchange ownership we would at least need two days, to get things going. He was just so abrupt and over and over stating we were trying to get free hosting, and just crazy stuff that made NO sense at all. Why or how could we ever think we would get anything for nothing, nor why would he even be accusing us of this, when we just got done paying him for a new business. How he came up with us trying to scam him or rip him off was horrible and a VERY BAD way to conduct business, knowing all along he was the one doing the scamming. We finally got him to forward the files over so we could forward them to the new hosting, and when we got the hosting guy to upload them, we in turn found the website to be completely EMPTY! He wiped out everything that was there, and the site was and still is just a background, header and footer, and all the information banners and work we did, while we had it, was and is GONE! He in turn wiped our business right out, and is now, stating that he gave us all that we need to get it back up! It has been a complete nightmare. We purchased a business NOT a script with just images. That is NOT what we paid for and is not what we want , so we are in turn asking for a Refund to our account immediately! We had contacted Mr. Baker several times to try and resolve this issue, and all he wants to do, is keep accusing us, and turning around the scamming he did to us, on my partner and myself! The files were so corrupted before he sent us the complete file, that NOW no one is able to even signup to the site. But yet he is insisting, he forwarded the original file the way the site was when we purchased it. Scamming is NOT the word! This is the link, http://8814hosting.com where we bought the site from and if you click on any of the one's he has for sale, you will SEE, they are ALL up and running businesses, and that is EXACTLY what Dragon's Lair was before he did all this damage. It's been an absolute nightmare for both myself and my partner and all over a $45.00 website, that was once suppose to be a complete business. It's not about the money so much, it was he did to us, and all because we did not go with hosting through him and felt he did not need to control the sitr any longer once we purchased it! SO BEWARE, DO NOT Buy a Site or hosting from this guy Mr. Gene Baker, I can PROMISE YOU, YOU WILL in fact, have serious issues!

This is gene Baker and Yes, I'm the owner of 8814 Hosting. First of all to all that really wants to know the truth to all this. These people are big scammers and they tried to say that they did not receive the site that they purchased. That's funny!!1 go here and you will see the site I sold them: http://www.dragonslairtextads.net I built that site Graphics and all images. I can prove it because I have them in my files and if anyone want me to send them a copy of them to prove that all you have to do is email me and I'll be glad to prove what I'm saying. Mike Kontak and Maria Angelozzi are being reported to the FTC and any other Law agency that I can find. Remember folks, There are 2 sides to every story!! This page makes them sound innocent but, in reality the emails that I received are full of curse words and very vulgar. Don't believe everything you here!!!

You should have read the Terms Of Service and I gave about 36 hours to get the site moved and all you wanted was to keep hosting off my for free. Now, Folks if you agree with someone getting free hosting then go ahead and believe them.!!

wanted to have access to the site and recommended we give you our
password. I don't believe that is something as owners we would have to, or NEED to do unless there were
concerns that needed to be attended to.

We purchased the site from you which in turn means you are no longer the owner. The question I have, is why you would

feel you
would need the password to our site? There is private information that goes in these sites, and as owners
of many of them I am sure you know this... I mentioned to Maria, this is NOT something that I would want
to do, and if that is the case, I think we need to resolve the purchase of Dragon's Lair.

I also mentioned to Maria that I have a hosting guy that I am looking to host with for Dragon's Lair
so we would not be purchasing hosting through you. I known this guy a long time, and I mentioned to him prior to
purchasing Dragon's Lair that I would most likely be going through him for hosting. If you feel this is
a problem us hosting elsewhere and taking complete control of Dragon's Lair, I am going to have to suggest
as I mentioned earlier that we resolve our recent business transaction and ask to be refunded.
I hope you understand this is just in the best interest of Myself & Maria

Mike, I explained it to Maria why and that is no problem. I was just trying to help out just in case there was a problem. I'm

not that type of person that would steel any info from anybody. I have several customers that are new to Ad Exchanges and

try to help them with good customer support. I did not know that you have experience with Ad Exchanges. I see that you

have everything under control. I meant no offence to you or Maria. I have no problem where you want to host the site. You

do not have to host it with me. That's not the way I operate. Yes, You own the rights to the site and you are the owner. Again,

I'm sorry about the confusion and also I will stay out of the site by your request.

What you people need to do is file a dispute with the payment processor. DON"T let this person get away with this. He needs to be SHUT DOWN and now. YOU WILL get your money back if you can prove this. It sounds as though this man makes a LIVING out of doing this to people. I have heard of him through the ad exchange world, and he doesn't know his ASS from a hole in the ground. He's dumb and wet behind the ears and this is not the business he should be in if he works like this!! There are other fine ad exchange rental and sales businesses out there, don't let this one SERIOUSLY MESSED UP PERSON ruin you. It does sound like he needs to have total control over everything. The DISTURBED PERSON needs to get out the business as he CLEARLY does not know to damn much about what he is doing and then acting like he has it all under control!!!

I have been doing all of 8814 Hosting script work since he started his business a year ago. I do not get any pay, or acknowledgement. When Gene sells a site it is left to me to move the site. This is not my business and I was only doing this as a gesture of good faith. I have tried numerous times to explain to Mr.Baker how to move a site, which is a very simple procedure. Just last month in June a site move waited over 1 week until Gene finally got ahold of me to do the move.

I just received another email from Mr. Baker today begging me to help him move a clients site, yet again I get no reconition for any work I do for him, and he tells his clients all work is done by him and he has all under control!

I was not home last weekend when he sold that site to Maria and Mike and messed up the zip and never zipped up their database to send them, then just deleted their database. He knows better as I have told him I don't know how many times to do this simple procedure. If I was home last weekend and their site got moved by me, these people would not have any problems with the script or their site!

I was hospitalized back in March and again in May, as I had to have a heart cath, and then pacemaker surgery. I got Gene to look after my business and billing. He changed the invoice information to his, meaning when an invoice was sent, it had his email and hosting page link inside the invoices I sent, *~he was trying to steal my clients~*!!. Right there I lost my faith in Gene as a friend , and all trust I had for him. He took advantage of my ill health and hospitalization. Then we have been watching him on our server and have found out that he went into one of my cpanels. He got caught, but denies any wrong doing, yet we have the proof from the server. I could have brought legal charges against him.

Hi, I am sorry I am not addressing you by your name, as I did not see one left, in your previous message. I first want to say how VERY sorry, I am to hear of ALL he did to you. This man is certainly evil, and the stress that he put us under was unbelievable to say the least. I am NOT one to put something out there, or even indulge in a bunch of nonsense, as I have been marketing online for over 7yrs. I am a previous Traffic Exchange owner ,and I certainly am aware of people that you can come across, that can do a potential amount of harm to you. I have to admit, I think Gene has them ALL beat by far. I think, the thing, that really confused me, is why, he would try and turn around what he did on Mike and I and state we were the scammers, when ALL along we are the one's that purchased a website from him, what in the world could he be thinking about? Then to say, we were trying to get FREE hosting, when in turn it was NOT even 24hrs since we bougth the site from him, and then shut us down without any warning, and then corrupted the file, and sent us an empty script, and INSISTING he sent us exactly what we purchased from him. I'm not sure, if you went to the link, that I provided above for Dragon's Lair yet, but please take the time to do so, and you will see, EXACTLY what we are trying to dispute here. That was an up and running businesses and now, it is an empty script with all the things that were in there originally, are now GONE! He really is a VERY evil person, and went even further and corrupted it, so when someone tries to signup they are not able to do so... You better believe my intentions are to fight him EVERY step of the way, and I will indeed, do what I have too, to prove that Gene's best interest, is NOT in his customer's but indeed ONLY for himself! This has all been NOT ONLY stressful, but a BIG waste of time, and energy! I have put a claim into Alertpay, to get refunded for his so called business he sold us, and waiting patiently to move forward when need be! One registered copy of the Sites/Scripts will be sent to the purchaser upon receipt of funds from paypal or other arrangements. Purchasers will receive 30 days free hosting. At the end of the 30 days if Hosting is not purchased at the time the Sites/Scripts file will be zipped and sent to the purchaser at that time and the Sites/Scripts may be deleted from the 8814 Hosting server after 24 hours. You should have received this Sites/Scripts only from 8814 Hosting within 24 hours after the 30 days is completed unless Hosting was purchased. Once the Sites/Scripts have been zipped and sent 8814 Hosting will not be responsible for Sites/Scripts once mailed. Purchaser had 30 days with the Sites/Scripts. Purchaser will have 24 Hours from that point to seek Hosting before Sites/Scripts is Deleted from 8814 Hosting servers. 8814 Hosting has this right to avoid "Internet Shoplifter's" ( SCAMMERS!!!). If purchaser files a Dispute during this time the Sites/Scripts will be suspended by 8814 Hosting and placed on hold until Dispute has been resolved!.

I have tried your site and you are correct as it states an error when trying to sign up. If I sent you your site, you would of had your correct database. I tried to explain to him numerous times how to export a database and zip it and send it along with the files in a nice neat zip.

Then yesterday after I made a server move and all was settled I ask Gene to change the IP's for my super solo sites within his cpanel, a real easy task as he has done this before, and he then proceeded to tell me he would do it after I show him how to move a site. Today he kept bugging me to show him how to move a site when I explained to him OMG I don't know how many times how to do this! I have been doing his work for him and running his business when I have my own to run Laurel Hosting.com

Last month he sold a site and it did not get moved until I moved it, his poor client waited a week until I moved it and his client still swears by him, still sticks beside him like God!

What gets me is Gene knew there was problems with the surf script, it needed looked at, tweaked, and the kinks ironed out so to speak, nothing is perfect. I cannot believe he sold a site knowing the script needed a few things worked on. That is why your script does not work. that and because you bought a surf script and got a database that goes to the plain SJV script. He will bug me, literally beg me to fix things, upload scripts! I trusted him to watch my business while I was sick in the hospital and this man tried to steal my clients! He got caught red handed and denies it!! if someone else got into my billing system, why input Gene's infomation in there, now that does not make a whole hell of a lot of sense! He jumped on me wanting to know why I was acusing him of being in my cpanel when I had his IP as the last to login, and my server tech caught him....TADA, then to sit and turn the tables and try and make me the fall guy, the bad guy!
