David Scott

online dating/romance scam

unknown, England

A man who calls himself, David Scott has stolen the "Real" David Scott's identity. With some research, I have found the "Real" David Scott, living in Virgina. I believe the person who scammed me is part of an on-going Nigerian scam group. Met online, and began to chat through yahoo messenger for well over a month. "David Scott", presents himself as a charming but unfortunate man who lost his wife Cathy in an automobile accident. He has a daughter, Ashley, but everyone else in his family is deceased. He supposedly won a large contract with Shell Petroleum, building a refinery in England. He says after his project is completed he woud like to build a life with me and relocate anywhere to be with the right woman. While on his "fake trip" to Dubai and England, he gets very sick and needs to go to hospital. He goes to a clinic first, to get an antibiotic to cure his sickness. Antibiotic is called "Fandisar"...After some research, I found out that this antibiotic is used to treat Malaria and has been banned from the UK since 2008. He proceeds to supposedly be admitted to a hospital in England called "John Henry Medical Center". The hospital does exist but specializes in Obstetrics. Stupid man, is he going to have a baby???? Finally, he needs money to pay for hospital bill, as he says he has budgeted all he has to pay for his workers that are working on this project with him. He asks me for money to pay the bill, and wants me to send it via Western Union to a location in London, England where he is supposedly staying in an apartment while working on this project with Shell Petroleum. The address he gave me was 121 Newbond Street, London England. By now, I have realized he is a scammer, but it was pretty easy to be taken in by all of his flattery and words BEFORE he asked me for money. For those of you out there looking for love, please be aware of this type of scam. He obviously has hundreds and hundreds of aliases, e-mail addresses, and pictures of real people that he has stolen from the internet. It will be very difficult to stop this person. I am sorry for those people who were as vulnerable as I. Thankfully, I did not succumb to sending him money, but I am sure there are plenty of women who have. He is getting rich off of American woman, and perhaps other women in other countries who are just simply looking for love. I am "turned off" now by dating sites, and I suppose, I now wish to find someone that I actually "see" or someone else knows before I would date them...This person "David Scott", the alias he used with me, sent many pictures. The ones I have posted are not the best ones, nor the original one which shows a very attractive man on a horse. I am wondering how many times this scammer has used the same pictures. I tried to get him to send a picture of his daughter, but he said he didn't have one. I thought that strange, as he said his daughter, Ashley was his whole world. Just know that everything about this man is fake...including his heart..he doesn't have one, most scammers don't...
