Casa Del Gatos Cattery

Rockwall, Texas, 75087

I purchased 2 burmese kittens. I drove over 200 miles to get them. Against my better judgement, I took home a kitten with a runny nose. The breeder told me she had just taken the kitten to the vet and it was sneezing because it had been in the fireplace. It is now 7 months old and still sneezing. Vet says he always will-has herpes virus or something like that.
Breeder was disorganized and confused. She told us she had 2 males for us born a week apart.both in December Her paperwork showed us a male and female, one born October. We pointed that out to her, and she changed the paperwork. We took the cats to the vet, and in fact, we had a male and a female. (we wanted 2 males)We emailed her and asked her if she gave us the wrong cat or if she got the gender wrong, and she never emailed us back. But the cats were 12 weeks old (the female may have been older, she was considerably bigger than the male)
Then our female cat, 4 months later , died of FIP. Heartbreaking! (Our male cat is the sneezer)

Describe Casa del Gatos

It was our impression breeder had too many cats, too many kittens. House was disorganized, and smelled. She admitted it was a mistake to give us the sick kitten, (the sneezer).

Just posted on another feed, but wanted to include the message here too:

My first thought upon reading this post was "Did I write that??" The identical thing happened to us! We brought home a Burmese male and mixed-breed female from this breeder, both with sniffles she attributed to allergies. The boy kitty did not thrive and continually had respiratory issues - the female mixed breed did somewhat better. Then the neurological issues set in, until finally the baby boy couldn't even walk. We had him put down and had an autopsy performed - FIP. We were able to nurse the female through it. We spent hundreds on the cat, over $1000 on vet. Emailed the breeder many times and she said she'd send us a check for the cat, which never came. Then she said she'd replace the cat. Never happened. I've sent at least 3 emails, with no response. She said her cats were NEVER sick and this was an anomaly. Apparently, I should have googled the breeder prior to buying... STAY AWAY FROM THIS BREEDER!
