I had a room booked at this hotel and had to cancel - two weeks in advance, well within refundable cancellation period - and when i called to do so, they cancelled the reservation but claimed that they couldn't refund the money to my credit card - whatever, total lie. Anyway, after making a huge deal about it and wasting 4 hours of my life on the phone with them, the manager finally agreed to send me a check for the charges. Needless to say, the check never arrived - shocker. And when I called back several times to check on my (apparently fictional) check, I was told that particular manager was not available/no longer worked there/on vacation - depending on who was making up lies that day.
